I recently read an article that referenced the old Stratomatic Baseball Game. I had to smile. I grew up playing this game and still love it! I have the entire 1986 season. Good times! I have the memories of games from days gone by- both the actual game and the Stratomatic games played in the living room with family and friends.
In the movie "A League of Their Own," Tom Hanks said, "There's no crying in baseball!" Well, that much is true, however, the uncertain times we live in today, as we all shelter behind closed doors, has made me think many of us might just be crying about our loss of the most American Game of all time. Our beloved baseball season is on hold. I can only ask myself, "If they play baseball in a stadium with no fans, does it still smell like hot dogs and Cracker Jack?"
I dare you to keep the magic alive. Dig out those baseball cards, that dusty Stratomatic Baseball Game and all your love for the game. Let's Play Ball!
