Manage a Team of Baseball's Greatest Players
If you have ever played Fantasy Baseball, this game will sound very familiar.
The challenge in Retrotisserie Baseball is to draft the “best team on paper” over three historical MLB seasons.
Unlike Fantasy Baseball, however, the best team on paper will win!
Example Picks from 1951 – 1953
| First Name | Last Name | Positions | Played Years |
|---|---|---|---|
| Al | Benton | P | 1952 |
| Bill | Bell | P | 1952 |
| Joe | Black | P | 1952-1953 |
| Charlie | Bishop | P | 1952-1953 |
| Fred | Baczewski | P | 1953 |

Meet the Founder
I can't remember a time in my life when I didn't love baseball. My first game was with my Dad at Shea Stadium in 1976. Mets vs Dodgers. Hot dogs, Crackerjack and Take me Out To The Ball Game keeping us all jazzed! The excitement of the game and the energy of the crowd! It was awesome! I never had the skills to be a ball player, but, boy did I like those stats! My love of numbers and passion for the game brought me to where we are today. Play Ball! ~Jason Stubbs

What's Old Is New Again
Continue Reading: What's Old Is New Again →I recently read an article that referenced the old Stratomatic Baseball Game. I had to smile. I grew up playing this game and still love it! I have the entire 1986 season. Good times! I have the memories of games from days gone by- both the actual game and the Stratomatic games played in the living room with family and friends.

Catcher Offensive Production
Continue Reading: Catcher Offensive Production →It might surprise absolutely nobody that the 1970’s featured the best offensive production from the catcher position, relative to total offense, over the period from 1900 to 2019. With the exception of 1973 and 1976, catcher offense (as measured by OPS) exceeded the league average in each year. And the three year average offense (here at Retrotisserie Baseball, we like to do things in threes!) for catchers exceeded the league average in every single year. Led by the Little General, Carlton Fisk, Ted Simmons and others, catchers outperformed the league by .027 points (.713 vs. .686) between 1970 and 1972 and .014 (.734 vs. .720) between 1977 and 1979.
